Tea Villa Cafe - Ghatkopar
Sunday evening movie and afterwards visited this cafe since we were in the vicinity. Since it was a weekend it was full and there was a waiting time of around 10 - 15 mins. Checked the place and it has a good vibrant ambience to it.
Post wait time we were shown to our table.
Got ourselves comfortable and then did a quick recon of the menu and placed the order for Mini Burgers, Spinach & Corn Tart, Burnt Garlic Rice with Veggie Manchurian and Nutella Pancake.
Mini Burgers: Small sized burgers with veg patty and lettuce and topped with jalapeno sauce served with chilly lemon sauce and french fries. Quite good flavors.
Spinach & Corn Tart: Assorted plate of spinach & corn and vegetable tart served with lettuce and corn salad. Found it strictly OK.
Burnt Garlic Rice: Was quite good with the garlic flavors taking predominance due to the burnt flavor.
Veggie Manchurian: Ordered this gravy as an accompaniment for the rice but was quite dejected with the taste of the manchurian balls. It really wasn't as per our liking at all.
Nutella Pancake: Mini pancakes dusted with a little bit of icing and served with nutella. An OK dessert nothing much to talk about.
One thing that kept distracting me was that the staff had to repeatedly climb up on a platform to switch ON & OFF the exhaust when the interiors became smoky due to sizzlers being served at different tables. I noticed this around 6 - 7 times as the staff had to climb on the platform which was directly behind us.
