Drifter's Brewing Co. - Lower Parel
Had visited Drifters Brewing Co. on a Sunday for Brunch. Its located in Trade View, Oasis City, Lower Parel which also is a hub for many other mouth-watering and gastronomical joints. We made ourselves comfortable and then after a while was given the menu for the Sunday Brunch. I asked for the sampling of their Craft Beers and was given a choice of 6 Beers. Chose the Cricket Ale and ordered some eggs and chicken dish as starters.
They basically serve tapas meaning small plates. The spread on the table was good for the amount being charged. You can experience their Non-Alcoholic Sunday Brunch for Rs. 899/- & Alcoholic Sunday Brunch for Rs. 1,699/-. It is a beautiful experience to sit in this joint sipping beer and listening to some beautiful Jazz music. Every week they have a new artist lined up for the gig. Apart from Jazz Music they also have Ladies Night, Dj Nights and Live Sports Screenings. So if you are a sports fan this is definitely a place to be. Also, they host beer games and have board games as well.
Harissa Chicken:- This was spicy grilled chicken served with tzatziki dip & sumac onion salad. Really loved this and hence repeated it.
Scrambled Eggs:- Was cooked nicely but a little bit of salt was missing.
Pita Bread and Dips:- Tried them all.
Spicy Potato Wedges:- Some wedges were not cooked thoroughly which dampened the experience. However, liked the spice quotient.
Ravioli Pasta & Penne Pasta in White sauce is worth trying.
Spicy Chicken Pizza:- If there is something I loved about this Brunch other than the Harissa Chicken and Craft Beer then it was their Pizzas. The Spicy Chicken pizza really good with the cheese, cherry tomatoes, onions, and jalapenos.
Chicken Club Pizza:- My favorite out of the two pizzas we ordered. It comprises of tomato sauce, mozzarella, capsicum, onion, mushroom and obviously chicken topped with Parmesan Garlic Aioli swirl (a Mediterranean sauce) that made the Pizza all the more finger-licking good.
Craft Beers:- How can a Sunday Brunch be complete without good Craft Beers. Tried the Sunny Bavarian, Belgian Wit, Charles The Pil, Apple Cider Beer (Love Potion), Milky Way and Cricket Ale. The team here take pride in saying it boldly that the beers are HANDCRAFTED which are made from the finest malts and best quality hops from Czech. They proudly boast of their HandCrafted Beers to be natural and preservative-free. Out of the above, I loved the absolute classic Belgian Wit and Love Potion which were really good. Didn't like the Milky Way as it was too strong for my taste and also didn't find the Cricket Ale much appealing.
All in all a good experience. And if you are a Jazz lover then its definitely worth a visit to this place.
