The Glasshouse - Hyatt Regency, Sahar, Mumbai
The year-end always has Mumbai gearing up for new year parties and dinners. In one such event during our stay at Hyatt Regency, we happened to visit The Glass House restaurant. Being Saturday night and New Year Celebrations were going on full swing. We were ushered to our table andwere given Masquerades and Tiaras. Clicked some pictures wearing the masquerades and tiaras.
Later we roamed about checking out the dishes for the evening. They had cheese platter (Cheddar, Emmental, Camembert, etc). Different varieties of bread, Greek Salads, Soups. I preferred the bread section with some butter to start with and ordered myself a beer (a beer person you see). But instead of beer, I was recommended to try their signature drink. I took the first sip and I didn't like it at all. I did give my views on the drink to the person catering to our table and he was quick to get me a Beer. Then I went for some Chicken and ordered some chaat. The chicken was really good and so was the Prawns (very choosy when it comes to seafood). Then we ordered some Burgers (Yummy) and Pasta (tasted good) from the live counters and tried some pizza slices and chicken wok fried noodles. Kinda liked it. The entire ambiance of the restaurant was abuzz with vibrant partying energy and kids were running around screaming and shouting (I wonder how the atmosphere would be if I walked in for a dinner on a day when there is no such party).
Finally went for the main course wherein I ate some Rotis with paneer tikka and dum biryani along with Mutton Roganjosh (must try).
Dessert selection was vast with pastries, ice-creams, and sorbets. Did try their Lemon and Strawberry Sorbet which I will recommend (esp the lemon if you like the sour taste) and also tried the champagne sorbet (not a fan).
Would like to try their Glass House restaurant for a Sunday Brunch if they do have any good offers accompanied with Beer. Special Thanks does go out to Jonathan Rodrigues for serving our table really well and helping us with the Mocktail selection.
