Red Olives, Powai

So my friend had come down from Australia and he wanted to catch up with all friends and colleagues over Sunday Brunch. Zeroed in on the best options with ease of access to reach the place (most of us were from the central suburbs and few from the western) and what you get is Red Olives. Called up and spoke to Mr. Vijay who was happy to help and confirmed our booking for 10 pax.

I and my friend reached quite earlier than the rest of the gang and we had some time to while away so we took a tour of the restaurant which opens at 12 noon. We checked out the tables and seating arrangements so that we all could sit together. Post that we checked the dishes for the buffet and liked it and then we made ourselves comfortable.

We asked for the Beer/Wine/Mocktails in the package (since on zomato) it mentions offer available on select SP. As a result, we thought no matter what we will still be able to get KF in the package (though I am not a fan of KF). That's when we were told no KF no Budweiser only Fosters. Now I have had Fosters before and I am not a very big fan of the drink. So after a tryst to get the beer changed to KF (which by the way went in vain as they had a tie with Fosters for some promotion and not any other brand) we settled for the one and only Fosters. Also the wine the selection is not much as they serve only Charosa Red/White in this package. Mocktails they serve Iced Teas (flavor options) & Virgin Daiquiris (with flavor options)

While we were sipping on the drink starters (Chk Satay, Fish Fingers, Thai Spring Roll, Paneer) were served on the table and I must say it was delectable esp loved the Chicken Satay and Thai Spring Roll. Kept on hogging like a person who had starved for a week. Friends start pouring in and we have a gala time. I must mention here that our table captain Mr. Kundan was very helpful attending to all the needs. So a Big shout out to him.

After a good round of drinks and starters, we finally moved on to the main course. They had more of North Indian cuisines on the list. They had Salads, Fruit platters, Chaats, Btr Chk, Murgh Rara, Mutton Rogan Josh, Paneer Btr Masala. Ordered Mix Roti Basket in which you get Btr Naan and Rotis and savored them with Btr Chicken and Murgh Rara and Paneer Btr Masala. The Murgh Rara looked spicy but it wasn't and we loved the Butter Chicken and especially the Murgh Rara. Finally had some Veg Biryani and by the time we finished it it was already closing time for them as it was 1530 hrs. We were served the desserts (pastries and moong dal halwa) on the table and also the last minute Beers and Wines.

All in all the experience was very good and we do look ahead for such great gatherings again in future provided the same or better hospitality is provided. Thank you Red Olives for having us for Sunday Brunch.

The experience was priced at Rs.1025/- plus taxes p.p. And it was truly a fulfilling one at the given price. Like the saying goes Tummy khush toh hum bhi khush.
