Queens Kitchen & Mocktails
Another feather in the cap for the Owner and Founder for LPD Club chain ie Love & Latte, Love & Pastries and Love & Dine. This restaurant boasts of a Veg Buffet in a very classy environment. The interiors of this place has been done in a way which has a royal touch to it. We had been to the inauguration of this place a few months back. This time again we were invited for a Candle-light dinner which I suppose was the first time ever for this restaurant.
We came out of the lift only to be greeted by a hallway lit only by candles leading all the way up to the restaurant. The good part about these candles are that it is flame-less candles. A very cool and unique concept for a safe dining experience. The restaurant was also lit with the glow of candles on each table. It was truly amazing and the entire ambiance was magical. This was unlike any normal candle-light dinner where couples are allowed. Here they invited couples as well as groups to the event with the only restriction being that kids below 12 years are not allowed, which in a way I personally feel is good as it is also a US/WE time for the parents.
We were shown to our tables and were served starters. Baby Potatoes, Potato Cheese Rolls, Thai Paneer & Tarts. The Potato Cheese Rolls were actually good and the Thai Paneer was soft and melted in the mouth with the explosion of the spices to titillate your palate.
We then helped ourselves to some Quesadilla's which was yummy and also some fryums. Then we headed to the live counters for pasta and sundaes. Ordered for a penne pasta in white sauce and also in a pink sauce. The pasta in white sauce was better than the one in pink sauce (my personal experience).
In the meanwhile, they had a live band performing there. Some Hindi Bollywood songs and mashups. The environment was totally charged up and enchanted by the music and food. We ordered for some mocktails. I had a Green Apple Mojito which was simply superb and also a Tickle Pickle which had a pickled flavor to it.
We helped ourselves to some rice dal & papad and paneer gravy. Also, ordered a Blossom Ice mocktail and sipped on it. By the time we had all this I was already full and still wanted to try the desserts and sundae section. Headed over to the sundae section where their head chef Dinesh Bherwani was himself serving the sundaes out to the guests. He suggested me to try the Caramelized Banana with Vanilla ice cream topped with nuts and a chocolate sundae. Both the sundaes were exceptionally good and did the job well for a happy ending to the amazing 2-hour candlelight affair.
All in all a great event with some good food. A must visit to this place with family and friends.
Highly recommended: Green Apple Mojito, Blossom Ice, Potato Cheese Rolls, Thai Paneer, Quesadilla, Gulab Jamun, Chef's Spl Sundae.
