Novotel, Juhu
We had checked in to this hotel a few days back for celebrating a birthday of my partner. Being a member of AccorPlus I opted for my free night benefit at this property and upgraded my room to a Premium Ocean View room. Little did I know the surprise I was in for.
Checked in via online a day before our actual stay. This option helps the guest to have minimal paperwork at the reception. You just need to go property show your membership card and collect your room keycard and while checking out you just need to return the keycard back to reception and the invoice will be emailed to you.
The representative at the reception Mr. Kunal was very helpful in every possible way by explaining us the various onsite restaurants and the host of complimentary benefits since we had upgraded the room to Premium.
We had got the room allocated on the topmost floor of the property. The room was amazingly superb and spacious. We also had a complimentary cake in the room which was actually a pleasant surprise and a very sweet gesture from the hotel.
The view from the room was just amazing. We could actually watch the ocean with the waves hitting hard on the beach as it was a high tide and to top it up with the rain the view was breathtaking.
I did sit near the window for a long time capturing pictures of the view this room had to offer. So much that I didn't sleep much at night because I ended up being awake and clicking pictures of how beautiful it looked at night. In fact, I slept late and woke up early to catch the glory of breaking dawn.
We had a nice lavish spread of buffet lunch at The Square an onsite restaurant serving pan Asian delicacies. Mr. Brijesh was very helpful in helping me get certain food to the table. In the evening we had complimentary access to their Premier Lounge located on the same floor as our room where we could relax and sip drinks and have finger food for 2 hours ie 6-8pm. Later we headed to Olio An Italian Fine Dine onsite restaurant for dinner where we had soup and some nice delicious Ravioli and mocktails. The staff was very courteous esp Mr. Rakesh / Mr. Roshan who let us click pictures of the restaurant and also on knowing that we were celebrating a birthday presented us with a small pastry to commemorate the occasion. The best part of it was when we received the bill, we got a 50% off on the food as I had a membership card which entitles me to such discounts.
We took a stroll of the property and went towards the beach side but by the time we got there it started pouring like crazy with a strong breeze. I actually felt as if I am in Goa. Stood getting drenched in rain for some time and then headed back to the room.
Next day woke up and had a good complimentary buffet breakfast and proceeded to check out.
A birthday well spent is what I will say. All in all, I am really looking forward to staying at this property in the near future and also its other properties worldwide.
